Guest menu

A guest menu for weddings and banquets — guests choose their dishes online

Build the banquet menu in EventHub. Guests see it like a restaurant menu — in the invitation, on the event website and in the guest app — and choose the main course for themselves and the people they bring. The venue gets a ready summary by table.

  • No spreadsheets or message threads
  • Choices for themselves and their party
  • A PDF for the venue, by table
The menu builder and the menu through a guest’s eyes

Meal choices without spreadsheets or message threads

The usual way

  • You collect main-course choices over private messages and phone calls
  • You check the answers against the seating plan by hand, table by table
  • Allergies get lost between chats
  • A week before the banquet the venue asks for exact portion numbers — and you count everything again

With the menu in EventHub

  • Guests choose their dishes in the same form where they confirm they are coming
  • Table and seat come straight from the seating plan
  • Allergies and wishes are written next to each guest’s choice
  • A PDF for the venue with totals per dish — in one click

One menu, wherever your guests see it

You build the menu once. It appears as a block in the online invitation, on the event website and in the guest app — in the style of your event.

In the invitation

A “Menu” block in the online invitation. Guests see the dishes of the evening and choose the main course right in the RSVP form — one step after “I’m coming”.

On the event website

The menu is open to everyone with the link to the website. Dishes, serving times and labels — vegetarian, gluten-free, spicy. Guests make their choice in the RSVP form or in the app.

In the guest app

The menu marked “your choice”, a reminder for those who have not chosen yet, and the chance to change their mind until the date you set.

How to build a guest menu in 4 steps

The builder works like a restaurant menu: sections, dishes, descriptions and labels. Everything you add, guests see straight away.

Adding a dish and a choice rule
  1. 1

    Build the sections and dishes

Canapés, starters, mains, dessert, the bar, a children’s menu. Each dish gets a description, a serving time and labels: vegetarian, gluten-free, spicy. Need a label of your own? Add it with an icon.

  2. 2

Mark where guests have to choose

One dish to choose or several — say, two starters out of five. Set a deadline and a default dish for anyone who does not answer. Where there is no choice, guests simply see the menu.

  3. 3

Guests answer for themselves and their party

The RSVP form walks through every person on the invitation. Children are served the children’s menu automatically, and anyone who is not coming stays out of the portion totals.

  4. 4

    Send the venue the summary

Totals for every dish, the layout by table and seat, allergies. Moved guests to another table? The PDF updates itself.

Everything a banquet menu needs

Mains to choose from

One dish or several in any section — each rule is set separately.

Plus-ones and children

A choice for everyone on the invitation. The children’s menu, with no extra questions.

Labels and allergies

Ready-made dish labels and your own, with an icon of your choice. A guest’s restrictions show at their seat.

Tables from the seating plan

Table and seat numbers are never typed in by hand — they come from the seating plan.

Answers in the guest list

The “Guests’ answers” tab and a “Menu” column in the guest list. You can mark a guest’s choice yourself after a phone call.

Reminders

For guests who confirmed they are coming but have not chosen a dish yet.

The bar and serving times

A bar section and a time for every section: guests know when the main course is served.

In your event’s style

The menu takes the fonts and colours of your invitation and event website.

For the venue and caterer

A ready summary for the venue, not a spreadsheet from a chat

One PDF with everything the chef and the floor manager ask for: how many portions of each dish, who sits where and who has an allergy. Send it to the venue the day before the banquet — or as soon as the answers are in.

For weddings, milestone birthdays and corporate dinners

Wedding menu

Mains to choose from, a children’s menu for the little guests and the bar. Choices come in together with the RSVPs.

Milestone birthday

Easy for older guests: a menu in large, clear type, one answer for themselves and their partner, and the organizer can mark a choice after a phone call.

Corporate dinner

Hundreds of guests, vegetarian and gluten-free dishes, exact numbers for the caterer without pivot tables.

Birthdays and graduation parties

The menu in the same invitation as the evening’s programme. Guests choose their dishes in a minute on their phone.

Frequently asked questions about the guest menu

How do guests choose their dishes?

In the RSVP form right after they confirm they are coming, or in the guest app. The menu looks like a restaurant menu: guests tick a dish in the sections where you allowed a choice.

Can a guest choose more than one dish?

Yes. Set a rule for each section: one dish to choose or several — for example, two starters out of five.

What if a guest brings a partner or a child?

The guest chooses dishes for each person in their party separately. Children are served the children’s menu and do not need to choose.

What happens if a guest does not choose a dish?

They get a reminder, and after the deadline they are given the default dish. The organizer can also mark the choice themselves — for example, after a phone call.

How do guests tell you about allergies?

With restriction marks in the RSVP form and a free field for wishes. In the summary for the venue they show at the guest’s seat at the table.

Where does the organizer see the guests’ answers?

In the “Guests’ answers” tab of the menu builder and in the “Menu” column of the guest list.

How do I send the menu to the venue?

Download the PDF: portion totals for every dish, the layout by table and seat from the seating plan, and guests’ special requirements.

Build the guest menu before the venue asks for numbers

Create an event, add the menu and send the invitations — the dish choices arrive together with your guests’ replies.
